Tesco and Sainsbury’s have withdrawn a range of products from their shelves this month, including cheese and frozen desserts.<\/p>\n
Food recall alerts by the UK Food Standards Agency state that the items contain ingredients that are not listed on the packaging.<\/p>\n
The supermarket products are now considered a “possible health risk” to consumers who are allergic to the undeclared components.<\/p>\n
Fears of salmonella in Sainsbury’s Mexican-style cheese are joined by allergy recalls for various foods sold in Tesco.<\/p>\n

Tesco has recalled specific batches of Gosh! Sweet Potato Pakora and frozen itsu chocolate bao buns due to the presence of undeclared allergens.<\/p>\n
According to the Food Standards Agency, the products “may contain gluten which is not declared on the label”. This means that the products are a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease, and\/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten.<\/p>\n

Sweet Potato Pakora<\/strong><\/p>\n Don’t miss… <\/strong> <\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/source><\/p>\n Tesco issued the following guidance for customers: “If you\u2019ve bought an affected product, please don\u2019t eat it. Instead, return it to a Tesco store where a full refund will be given. No receipt is required. Use our store locator to find your nearest Tesco store.”<\/p>\n itsu Chocolate Bao Buns<\/strong><\/p>\n The supermarket issues the following statement: “We’re recalling two date codes of ITSU 4 Chocolate Bao Buns 180g. This is because it may contain milk which isn\u2019t declared on the product\u2019s ingredients label. This could make people with a milk allergy become unwell.”<\/p>\n Sainsbury’s has recalled its own brand Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar because of the possible presence of Salmonella.<\/p>\n\n
