Pepper Chicken


  1. 1 kg chicken drumsticks (or your choice of piece)
  2. 1 tsp salt
  3. 1 tsp pepper (I like to put lil more)plus 1tsp while cooking
  4. 1 1/2 chilli powder
  5. 2 onions
  6. 1 tsp Garam masala
  7. 1 tsp lemon and lime juice
  8. 1/4 turmeric powder
  9. Rice or roti to serve with
  10. 1 cinnamon stick
  11. 1 tsp Gochujang (red chilli paste) (Korean) (optional though I like the taste of it)


  1. Marinate the chicken in salt, pepper and lemon n lime juice. Keep in fridge for an hour or so

  2. Chop the onions and sauté them till they are golden with cinnamon stick

  3. Add chilli powder, pepper, gochujang and garam masala. Add lil water while doing this.

  4. Add the chicken and mix well. Add water in case needed or if you want lil sauce. Keep on medium flame until it’s cooked

  5. Serve warm with rice or roti

  6. Enjoy!!
