Italian Steak Pizzaiola Batch 8

Delicious really tasty and easy.


  1. Steak
  2. 1 pound round eye steak
  3. 2 large green bell peppers
  4. 1 large onion
  5. 1/2 teaspoons salt
  6. Sauce
  7. 4 peperoncini/ banana pickled peppers
  8. 15 ounces tomato sauce
  9. 15 ounces diced tomatoes
  10. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  11. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  12. 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  13. 2 tablespoons parsley flakes
  14. 6 cloves garlic sliced
  15. 1 cup water
  16. Cheeses
  17. To taste parmigiano reggiano cheese grated
  18. To taste shredded mozzarella cheese
  19. Garnish
  20. To taste red pepper flakes


  1. Rustic cut the onion and peppers. Slice the garlic. Slice the peperoncini’s.

  2. Heat the oil in a skillet. Season the steak with salt. Sear each side of the steaks 2 minutes. Set aside.

  3. Add the onions to the skillet. Sauté till translucent. Add the peppers, sauté 3 minutes add in the garlic.

  4. Add the rest of the ingredients, except the steak, and cheese. Bring to a simmer. Make sure everything is incorporated well.

  5. Add the steaks back to the skillet coat completely with the sauce. Simmer 20 minutes.

  6. After 20 minutes turn and simmer the second side for 15 minutes.

  7. Grate the parmigiano reggiano cheese over the top. Serve I hope you enjoy!!
