Asian Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients

  1. 1 lb ground beef
  2. 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  3. 6 oz mushrooms, coarsely chopped
  4. 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and coarsely chopped
  5. 2 green onions, chopped
  6. 1 clove minced garlic
  7. 3 T hoisin sauce
  8. 2 T low sodium soy sauce
  9. 1 T rice wine vinegar
  10. 2 tsp red chili paste
  11. 12 butter lettuce leaves

Steps

  1. Cook ground beef in medium skillet, over medium heat until almost cooked through. Add carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, green onions and garlic. Continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until beef is completely cooked and vegetables are tender.

  2. Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and chili paste. Stir and let simmer 1 to 2 minutes.

  3. Serve on lettuce leaves
