Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 6 oz mushrooms, coarsely chopped
- 1 (8 oz) can water chestnuts, drained and coarsely chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 clove minced garlic
- 3 T hoisin sauce
- 2 T low sodium soy sauce
- 1 T rice wine vinegar
- 2 tsp red chili paste
- 12 butter lettuce leaves
Steps
Cook ground beef in medium skillet, over medium heat until almost cooked through. Add carrots, mushrooms, water chestnuts, green onions and garlic. Continue cooking for 1 to 2 minutes until beef is completely cooked and vegetables are tender.
Add the hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar and chili paste. Stir and let simmer 1 to 2 minutes.
Serve on lettuce leaves
