- 3/4 sugar
- 1/4 flour
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- dash salt
- about 6 medium apples
- 2 tablespoons butter
Heat oven to 425 degrees; prepare pie pastry or use frozen.
Mix sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Add dry mixture to apples and toss together.
Pour into the pie shell. Cover with top and pierce with lines to vent or weave.
Then brush with melts butter. Cover edge in foil so it doesn’t burn. Then bake for 40 to 50 mins. Uncover foil for the last ten minutes.
