Kitty Spencer has opened up about her weight loss journey in recent years. The 30-year-old has lost a considerable amount of weight since she was first hurtled into the public eye.

Kitty is a model and ambassador for various luxury brands such as Bvlgari and Dolce and Gabbana.

She always looks slim and elegant in all her photos, which she often shares with her followers on social media.

However, Kitty looked completely different a few years ago.

By changing her lifestyle, following a healthier diet, and keeping active, Kitty lost an impressive amount of weight.

She maintains her slim frame by swimming and cycling, according to her Instagram account and Holly Zoccolan, a nutritional health coach and founder of The Health Zoc.

Holly spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about Kitty’s weight loss journey, saying: “As Lady Kitty Spencer makes it a priority to stay active whilst travelling, this shows her consistency with leading a healthy lifestyle.

“She is often seen on social media swimming, using bikes and generally staying active when travelling.

“As we know, consistency is key for a healthy mind and body so it’s great that Lady Kitty makes this a priority.

“We can also see that Lady Kitty is not restrictive with her diet, but makes maintaining her health a priority so it seems that she leads a healthy lifestyle, as opposed to following restrictive diet patterns that cause an unhealthy relationship with food and exercise.”

But what made Kitty want to lose weight in the first place?

In 2016, the model was criticised because of her weight.

Underneath a bikini photo on Instagram, taken in the south of France, one follower wrote: “Lay off the cake, darling. You’re too fat.”

At the time, 24-year-old Kitty commented back: “I’m sorry that you feel the need to post nasty comments under photographs of people you don’t know.

“I’ve yet to see unkind behaviour do any good in the world.”

Kitty was motivated to lose weight by her first modelling job in 2017.

Speaking to Town and Country, Kitty described the job as “the start of a confidence building exercise” which she wanted “to do for my older self, so I can look back and say I did it”.

Although Kitty changed her lifestyle ahead of the modelling job, she later realised the brand didn’t care about her weight loss.

Princess Diana’s niece explained: “I remember trying to be really healthy, going to the gym and doing that sort of stuff, and when I tried on the dress for a fitting, Domenico [Dolce] was like, ‘Have you lost weight?’

“I proudly answered, ‘Yes!’ and he said, ‘OK, now the measurements are different…’ There was no emphasis on size – that’s not what it’s about at all.”

Kitty also models Dolce and Gabbana’s jewellery and was seen earlier this month in Venice, having a photo shoot with Vogue Brasil.
