Jennie joined Coronation Street back in 2001. At that time, she looked very different as since then, the actress has lost three sizes following this simple diet.
Jennie McAlpine has spoken out about her diet plan on several occasions after fans noticed her incredible weight loss transformation.
The star explained that she only used “common sense” to get in shape.
“It’s not rocket science!” the actress said.
According to Jennie, simply following a healthy diet is what helped her lose so much weight.
She explained that everyone knows what foods are good and bad for them, so following your instincts is a good way to start.
“I don’t go in for all the diet plans and worrying yourself silly over how much you weigh,” she said.
“Ice cream is bad, salad is good – it’s not rocket science.
“If you eat more of the good stuff and take more exercise then you’ll lose weight.”
By following this simple hack, the actress managed to lose three dress sizes.
The star also explained the simple diet also helped her not over-worrying about it.
“It’s really not worth beating yourself up over it,” Jennie said.
“I know there’s pressure in this business, but I can honestly say I’ve never felt it myself.”
She continued: “I’m not saying I let it wash over me because of course I’m aware of it, but I don’t let it bother me.
“I just think there are far more important things going on in the world.”
A balanced diet and regular exercise are essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle and start your weight loss journey.
But Jennie is not the only Coronation Street star who went through a fitness transformation.
Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs, also slimmed down in recent years.
The actor revealed on social media that what helped him the most was his workout session with co-star Colson Smith.
Alan explained he usually does cardio, through badminton, and resistance training, as he lifts weights.
After his intensive fitness regime and wellness journey, the star now enjoys a very healthy lifestyle.
