Charlotte Casiraghi, the daughter of Caroline, Princess of Hanover and the granddaughter of Grace Kelly, is pregnant again, according to Voici magazine and Monaco Daily News. Charlotte already has two children, Raphaël and Balthazar, but how does she stay in good shape?
Charlotte said during a recent interview that she follows a varied and healthy diet but she doesn’t obsess too much about food.
The Monegasque royal explained: “I think there is no good or bad food, the secret is to eat it when needed.
“I am not blameless,” she said but admitted that she only buys food in organic supermarkets.
“I do my shopping in organic places. I consume little meat. When it comes to food, I try to be reasonable,” she added.
After having two children, Grace Kelly’s granddaughter stays fit by exercising regularly. “Horse riding is my passion,” Charlotte explained.
“I’ve been riding since I was maybe three or four. Ponies at first, and then I’ve really always been doing it since. I started competing more seriously only a few years ago.
“Now I have several horses, because as you progress you need to do as many shows as you can, but the horses need to rest.
“To preserve their health, it’s better to have at least two of them to [alternate],” she told Vogue.
The royal explained that horse riding is a very good exercise to stay in shape and lose weight as it uses so many different muscles.
“I ride two to three horses a day, and I ride almost every day when I’m not working or travelling. You use your legs, your arms, and your back. It’s a very complete sport.
“But I don’t think of it as exercise. I do it because I love it, and it’s a plus that it helps me stay in shape,” she added.
In terms of beauty and style during pregnancy, Charlotte revealed that she wears some pieces from her grandmother Grace Kelly that she has in her wardrobe.
“I’m not going to tell you, ‘Oh, I wear this for lunch at home’. But sometimes I can wear the jacket with a shirt,” she told Town & Country US.
On how she dresses to be with her children on a daily basis, she explained: “It’s trainers, a T-shirt, and a blazer.
“It’s not that I necessarily like to dress like that, but with children I have no space in my mind to pick a cool outfit.”
Charlotte previously explained that when she travels with her family, she always carries make-up remover, a beauty essential for her.
“Something to cleanse your face well, because that’s the basic of any routine. You need to have clean skin. That’s something I never travel without.”
Healthline explained that horse riding is a very complete sport that can help people lose weight and stay in good shape at any age.
Other attributes that can be gained on the back of a horse, the site stated, are strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, mental toughness, endurance, cardiovascular fitness, a clear mind and trust.
