Wayfair’s second annual Way Day has a date: Wednesday, April 10.Billed as the retailer’s biggest sales day of the year, there will be price cuts as deep as 80% and free shipping on all orders.Like Amazon’s Prime Day, it takes place during a historically slow time for sales (and shopping). And, similar to Prime Day, it’s not just a day anymore.
Last year, Way Day lasted exactly 24 hours, this year it will be 36. It actually starts at 12 p.m. ET on Wednesday, meaning you also don’t have to set an alarm clock to be there right as it kicks off. While we don’t have a ton of other details yet, there are a few clues on Way Day’s landing page. In addition to the deals lasting the entire 36 hours, there will be over a thousand timed flash deals. You can also preview the sales categories and sign up for reminders for each category.
Wayfair’s entire family of brands will also be participating in Way Day,including mid-century modern-inspired AllModern and farmhouse-friendly Birch Lane. While most products listed on AllModern are also listed on Wayfair, the more curated, “little sister” sites can also offer a less overwhelming way to browse if you’re hunting with a specific decor style in mind.
While we’re not exaggerating when we say you can find nearly everything you could dream of on Wayfair (from chairs to ovens to saunas), there are a few categories where Wayfair really shines. Their rugs include many that are well-suited for kitchen and dining areas: many are on-trend and made of durable polypropylene.Similarly, there are lots of good options for dining chairs and bar stools that work with decor styles like farmhouse and mid-century modern. For the more DIY-minded, Wayfair is also a treasure trove for renovations. But if all that seems like a lot of work, don’t worry — we’ll also be updating this story with our favorite picks when Way Day rolls around.
