If you closely follow what goes on in the world of non-craft beer, you might remember that Natural Light launched Naturdays last year. It still fit the Natty mold as a low-ABV light beer, but its strawberry lemonade flavor was a definite departure. Though it would improbably win an award from at least one real, credible beer festival, there were surely some manly men out there who would never be caught dead drinking a strawberry lemonade beer.
Well, finally, there’s a lemonade Natty for men. This summer, you can drink the new Natty Daddy Lemonade to show those chumps who drink normal-sized hard lemonades who’s boss. Weighing in at an impressive 8 percent ABV and available in 16 or even 25 ounce single-serve cans, this boasts a “sweet, crisp lemonade flavor” that will still allow you to hold onto whatever illusions about masculinity you need to hold onto.

If you ask Natty about it, they’ll tell you that serving a big ol’ can of lemonade flavored beer counts as innovation.
“Natural Light has established a great foothold in the innovation space over the last year, with a powerful fan response to the launch of Naturdays and Natural Light Seltzer,” Daniel Blake, VP of US Value Brands at Anheuser-Busch said in a press release. “Natty Daddy Lemonade is poised to continue that streak and we’re excited to launch a refreshing new malt beverage that captures the spontaneity and adventurous spirit our fans celebrate all summer.”
In case you want to both win a bunch of Natty Daddy and show your own father that you love him, that’s totally an option thanks to a contest that Natural Light is putting on. Between now and July 5, you can share a picture of your “father figure” (because a dad isn’t just a man you share DNA with) with the hashtags #NattyDaddyLemonade and #sweepstakes to potentially win a “summer’s supply” of Natty Daddy Lemonade.
So there you have it: there are now multiple Natural Light lemonade-tinted beverages to choose from. That’s the free market at work, baby.
