One content creator has created a fool-proof way to make Yorkshire puddings from scratch in the air fryer. Becky Excell has a huge 191.7K followers on her TikTok account @beckyexcell.
The chef specialises in gluten-free, air fryer, and slow cooker recipes, and has amassed 1.2M “likes” on her videos. Becky is also the author of the recipe book Quick + Easy Gluten Free.
She showed her fans how to make air fryer Yorkshire puddings, and the amazingly simple puds take just three minutes to bake. “I don’t know about you but I think it’s a crime to make a roast dinner without Yorkshire puddings,” Becky said.
“They’re kind of the best bit and guess what, you don’t even need to turn on your oven to make Yorkshire puddings. You can make them completely from scratch in the air fryer and they are just totally epic.”
Becky’s air fryer Yorkshire puddings
- Three eggs
- 100g cornflour
- 150ml milk
- (Oil for cooking)
- Mix 100g cornflour and three eggs
- Add 150ml milk gradually
- Heat mini pudding moulds with a little oil in then at 200C on bake for three minutes

Tips for making Yorkshire puddings
Rest the batter
Allow your batter to rest before you put them in your tray and in the oven. It’s advised to leave the batter to rest for at least 15 minutes. Remember to give it a stir before you pour it into the moulds or tray.
Put them in the middle self
If cooking your Yorkshires in the oven, put them in the middle tray. This will give them lots of space to rise without being squished by the oven roof.
Leave batter in the fridge
Some experts swear by leaving the batter in the fridge overnight before making the Yorkshires the next day. According to SORTEDFood’s Ben Ebbrell, this is a restaurant secret and results in amazing Yorkies.
