Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 ½ (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • Step 1

    Heat oil in large skillet over medium heat.Stir in onion, garlic and celery and cook until soft.Pour in tomatoes and tomato paste, stir, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt and pepper; simmer 15 minutes, uncovered.Serve.
