    DIRECTIONS

  • For the cake:
  • Mix sour cream, sugar, vanilla and melted chocolate together.
  • Beat in eggs, one at a time.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Stir into wet mixture.
  • Turn into two 9-inch buttered and floured round cake tins, or one 9×12 pan.
  • Bake 25 minutes at 350°F.
  • For Icing:
  • Mix together the melted chocolate and melted margarine.
  • Then add sour cream.
  • Add icing sugar.
  • Beat well.
  • Apply to cooled cake.
