Air fryers work in the same way as convection ovens but preheat and cook the food more quickly.<\/p>\n

They also use heat and air to cook food evenly, reducing the need for any oil to be used in the cooking process.<\/p>\n

I often use my air fryer to bake savoury food but I decided to see how cupcakes would bake seeing as I use the oven to bake them all of the time.<\/p>\n

Cupcakes tend to take up to 30 minutes in the oven so I was impressed to see that the recipe book which came with the air fryer said they would only take eight minutes.<\/p>\n

I also used a super easy recipe, meaning the cupcakes were ready from start to finish in under 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/b><\/h3>\n

175g cake butter or unsalted butter<\/p>\n

175g caster sugar<\/p>\n

Three eggs<\/p>\n

One teaspoon of vanilla extract<\/p>\n

175g self-raising flour<\/p>\n

Dash of milk, optional<\/p>\n

Method:<\/b><\/h3>\n

Start by creaming the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, making sure it is all fully incorporated.<\/p>\n

Next, add the three eggs to the mixture along with a tablespoon of the self-raising flour to stop it from curdling.<\/p>\n
